Estate Disputes & Inheritance Claims

Facing the distress of losing a loved can be accompanied by the additional stress arising from a challenge to a will, misunderstandings leading to family disputes following an intestacy or the sudden realisation that the death of a supporting parent or partner could leave you in dire need.

A speedy assessment of your legal position can be crucial in helping you avoid unnecessary conflict or losing out on your rightful inheritance.

Our expert solicitors quickly assess and advise you on your case and agree a strategy for resolution.

Often there is nothing to pay up front and no win no fee may be available together with our mediation service which can help reduce costs and avoid increased animosity.

Inheritance Act Claims

The aim of the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975 is to make further financial provision for those who:

  • Have not received provision as a result of intestacy (where there is no will);
  • Have been left out of a will entirely; or,
  • Have not been left as much as they need by will or intestacy.
  • Inheritance Act claims are subject to a deadline of 6 months from the date of probate so there is a real need to bring a claim promptly and our skilled solicitors will help assess your claim as quickly as possible.

Inheritance Act enables the court to vary the distribution of the deceased’s estate for certain family members and dependants.

We specialise in resolving these disputes and can offer no win no fee arrangements.
