Karl Holland

Karl is a Mental Health Paralegal who studied LLB Law and Criminology at The University of Chester and graduated with a 2:1. He Joined RMNJ in November 2024 and has developed experience talking to clients from all walks of life, at various stages through their hospital stay. Karl is currently a member of The Law Society’s Mental Health Tribunal Accreditation Scheme allowing him to represent clients at their Mental Health Tribunals. Karl’s main duties as a paralegal are, to take clients initial instructions and advise of the tribunal’s role, powers and process; discuss the reports prepared by the hospital providing advice and obtaining the client’s perspective; represent clients at their mental health tribunal or hospital managers hearing and; deal with the day to day running of the file. Karl is friendly, empathetic and will always approach a conversation with a smile. He understands that speaking about mental health can be difficult, so he always aims to make clients feel at ease and listened to.

Outside of work he enjoys attending the gym to stay healthy, cooking and spending time with his family
